Along with the "My First Dollhouse", I purchased this "Baby's Room" and other room and family member specific sets for my then eighteen month-old granddaughter due to her expecting a new baby sister. She is now about three years old, and is still as delighted with the entire series as much as she was the first day she saw these toys. This set helps to teach children the importance of the role of family, of matching and placing furniture pieces and other parts in appropriate rooms to learn organizational skills, to learn the importance of picking up one's own toys, and more. While it is highly doubtful that she realized just what expecting a new little sister meant, she does enjoy role playing with this toy and will probably learn to share it with her sister in a few months time. The set is very durable, even with active children, and wipes clean with a damp cloth.
