My 5yr old has always preferred smaller softer plushes or characters to dolls. For her 3rd birthday I gave my little girl a Baby Anabelle and to this day, as much as *I* enjoy the doll, she doesn't give it much play time. Baby Chou Chou however has been, to my delight, a fantastic exception. Chou Chou was a $12 Christmas gift from Amazon. It was an incredible deal. The second she took the doll out she loved it. Chou Chou has a cuteness factor that some of the other baby dolls are missing. She has really chubby cheeks that glow when she gets a "temperature" and a soft heartbeat activated by softly pressing her chest with or without the stethoscope. Her cry is not annoying like other baby dolls. It's actually really cute producing the inevitable "Awwww.." Built like traditional baby dolls with a very soft cloth body and plastic head,hands and feet, she's extremely huggable and much lighter than most Anabelle's or other Chou Chou's. Her various functions are easy to activate but not so easy that she keeps accidentally crying or laughing when you don't want her to. An adorable doll overall!
