My daughter is utterly obsessed with the Little Mermaid and has the full gamut of Little Mermaid toys. This one rules them all because it's portable, poseable, and allows transformation from mermaid to human and back. I've actually just bought it for the 3rd time in 2 years. I've had to replace it because there are lot of little pieces to lose - and they do get lost. I've also had to replace it because it's flat out my daughter's favorite toy and she's miserable without it. Very simply - it's a polly pocket size little Ariel doll with a bunch of dresses and shoes, and a tiny Flounder and Ariel along for the ride. These toys are easy to carry and go everywhere (and also easy to misplace). You can remove Ariel's sparkly green tail and then (by removing Ariel's big hair) can dress her in the various dresses and shoes (mainly the pink dress she uses to make Eric fall in love with her and the white dress she gets married in). Everything is stretchy grippy rubbery plastic so it's hard to dress and undress (and Daddy ends up helping a lot). They all come in a zipper carrying case that's useful for traveling with a big bunch of little plastic toys.
